Q. How old are the kids?
A. Ages 4 - 16 as of April 30, 2010

Q. What are the boundaries?
A. Within the Little Rock area, Maumelle, and within Pulaski County south of I-40.

Q. What is the cost?
Junior Deputy will charge a registration fee in addition to a mandatory fund raising fee.

Junior Deputy offers Financial Aid to those families who apply and qualify. We ask that you come to the JD Office during the office registration times to fill out a FA form for approval to register.

Q. What are the divisions? *Detailed information may also be found under our Divisions section of this site.

A. Astro - 4 year olds, tee ball with emphasis in proper fundamentals and having fun.

Rookie - 5 & 6 year olds.
This is a beginning instructional level. Pitching machine and the tee will be used. Scores and standings are not kept. 5 yr. old players will use a tee while the 6 yr. old players will use both a tee and pitching machine.

Minor League - 7 and 8 year olds .
This is a competetive pitching machine league, scores are kept and all star opportunities for post season play begins.

Cal Ripken and Recreational Leagues- ages 9-12
The Recreational League is our live pitch recreational league which follows the official rules of Cal Ripken.
The Cal Ripken League is our competitive live pitch league consisting of nine organizations with three teams in each organization designated as A, AA, AAA. Players are drafted into this league and continue to play for their organization until the age of 13 in which they are eligible for the Babe Ruth League.

Babe Ruth League- ages 13-15
The Babe Ruth League is a drafted only competitive baseball league made up of six organizations with two teams in each organization designated as Minor and Major. Players drafted into this league will play for their organization from ages 13-15. This year dual participation will be allowed at the Babe Ruth level only with a required committment to Junior Deputy taking priority over other teams.

2011 Senior Babe Ruth League-ages 15-16
In the 2011 season, a Senior Babe Ruth League will be hosted for 15-16 year old players. Information regarding this league may be found on our site in early 2011.

Q. When is the season?

Practice begins the first week of March and games begin the first week of April. The season will end in mid June with traveling All-Stars to follow.

Q. What do the registration fees pay for?
A. The fees cover the cost of maintaining the fields, lights, umpires, and general operating costs for the park, etc.

Q. Volunteer time is required by the League.
A. Please fill out the volunteer questionnaire on the website and you will be contacted by the appropriate coordinator.

Q. I want to coach – how do I apply?
A. All coaches must be approved the Board of the League. In ordered to be considered for any coaching position, you must fill out a coaching application. Click here to inquire on coaching opportunities.
